Study by Prognos AG highlights the long term benefits of liquid energy sources and their potential to achieve GHG-neutrality
The German national associations of the refining and fuel supply/distribution sectors for transport and heating have released an abbreviated version of a study undertaken by Prognos AG on liquid energy sources in the energy transition. The study is based on the German market and analyses the importance of maintaining liquid energy given its unique benefits, as well as the potential for GHG neutral liquid energy to be produced from new sources, notably Power-to-Liquid technology. As well as addressing the need for such energy, it identifies the enabling framework that is required to facilitate the necessary investments and research. The full version of the study (German language only) is available here.
